Hermes Airports opened the present terminal in 2008, and the airport now handles around three million passengers a year, most of them British: Paphos is the UK’s favourite corner of the island, and Ryanair, Jet2, easyJet and TUI shape the schedule.
It is a compact, single-hall airport: arrivals and departures share the ground floor, the car park is across the forecourt and the bus and shuttle stops are outside the doors. Cyprus drives on the left, which is the first thing to remember on the way out.
